Hi, I hope everyone is coping as best they can.
Just wondering how custodial sentences work with these crimes, can anyone advise if they still do half their sentence in prison and half on license? Also, say the sentence is 6 years or even 7 years would half sentence in prison still be the case?
We're not at that stage but there's so much to worry about. Do all these crimes go to hostels on release too?

My person only served half his sentence with the other half on licence.

Those sentenced to longer sentences have to serve two thirds in prison, I believe. But that's only for sentences over 7 years.
I wonder what crimes of this type would result in more than 7 years, it would likely be actual contact crimes surely x
