Hi, after my ex's case went across social media on the Police FB page etc along with his mugshot, name, age and address, the Police put a "marker " on the address which got flagged to my Housing Association. Completely out of the blue several weeks later I received a call from the Housing Association threatening me with eviction.
I have chosen not to have a relationship any more with my ex, some of that decision was because he reoffend and I'm going through it all again. However, if I'd wanted to support him and live together, we would never have been able to because of the Housing Association. Personally, I find it really unfair that if we'd owned our home (which I have in the past), we could've done so without repercussions.
I was worried sick about where he was going to live when he was released. It caused no end of arguments between me and his family. Anyway,

I'm just pointing it out. X

Hi LittleRobin

What do you mean by "the police put a marker on house "?

We are currently privately renting and I'm worried what could happen

I think it means that if I need to ring 999 after his case goes across social media etc, there will be notes linked to my address to say that we could be at risk and why. My housing association would've found out anyway regardless of the Police marker thing because they would have seen my ex and more specifically our address on the Police FB page and in the local press and on the radio.

It means if you call 999 or 101 you automatically go to the top of the queue for getting your call answered
