The LFF course is the one that most people do. It can be done online or face to face.

Apart from that, it really depends on what the underlying issues are, that led to the offence. If it was porn addiction, then that could have other underlying causes, such as depression.

StopSO are the best people to speak to, as they have therapists who are trained in this particular area.

In cases where there are other issues involved as well, such as alcohol or drug use, then he should contact the GP and seek seperate treatment for those.

I would urge him to call the helpline and they will signpost him to the available resources.

My person is working through the modules on the Stop it Now website with a weekly session talking it through on the helpline, alongside a StopSo councillor.

Hope you are staying strong as well and seeking help for yourself in this nightmare x

Draw up a document in favour of him as a person, outside the offence/ a character reference.

Include any supportive family circumstances, previous good character, work record etc.

Also any help he has sought since arrested especially LFF courses & use of helpline.

This is all presuming he has pleaded guilty!

Good luck, sorry to say it could take up to 2 years to come to court!

My OH has just completed the safer lives course. At the end of it, they get a letter addressed to the judge that can be used for sentencing. It says he completed the course and that he had a plan in place to not reoffend.
