My partner signed the SOR back in mid-March after he received a caution and 2 years on the register. We've been told there will be restrictions as to certain countries we can travel to. I'm wondering if after he's off the SOR (in March 2026) if he will be able to travel freely to countries such as USA and Australia?

Australia is my favourite place in the world and I'd love to show my children there one day in the future. I'd also love to take them to Disney World in Florida. Just thinking ahead :)

You would be best to visit the unlock website. They have information about travelling abroad with convictions. X

Unlock is the best place for a detailed explanation. But the USA and Australia are very difficult to visit for someone with a conviction. It's not impossible but requires a long and potentially expensive visa application, which may or may not be granted.

However, a caution is not the same thing as a conviction, so that will be relevant. Be sure to read the Unlock advice carefully, as it is mainly about convictions, not cautions. You can also ring Unlock and get advice over the phone.
