Hi,

he will likely still be allowed supervised contact. It's important that his solicitor checks the proposed SHPO to ensure it's proportionate to the offence. If it has a no contact clause within it then the solicitor could ask for that to be removed as that has the potential to stop him from seeing his child.

In terms of backlash, you kind of how to wait and see what happens post sentencing. We are 3 years after sentencing and media coverage. I take our daughter to see my partner regularly and nothing has ever been said to me xxx

A lot depends on what happens at conviction and age/gender of the child but with a safety plan in place, unsupervised contact may be a possibility



My OH was images rather than communication. But I am aware of other communication offenders who have unsupervised (though this is normally with older children)
