Hi, I can only answer the part about the age of the child. Under 18s cannot be communicated with sexually in the eyes of the law. It's also illegal create, distribute or view indecent images of anyone under 18.
It does create issues as 16 is the legal age of consent but 18 is the cut off for anything online xxx

The age of consent is 16 but communicating and sending indecent images of someone under 18 is the same in law as someone aged 15, or 5 etc so far as I know. For exemple, my ex wasn't allowed any communication with his own children whatsoever while he was in prison until they reached 18. X
