Hello all,

How are you? I'm trying to understand a few things about a cognitive assessment that our solicitor requested, but it's all very confusing. For those who've done one can you help me in understanding:

- what does a cognitive assessment help with? Is it only for ADHD, autism, or learning difficulties?

- Can it show if my partner was experiencing depression and high anxiety at the time of the incident? We are both in therapy, and it seems his personal life has been very tough for a long time. He feels insecure and that his life has been horrible for a while, but he never asked for help, so we don't have any medical records for him. Can this be assessed?

- Does it matter for charges or court? And what matters?

My partner refuses to see the GP and wants to go private, but I don't know where to look. Our therapist suggested a forensic psychologist, Dr. Glyn Hudson-Allez but she’s not taking new clients.

We’re in London and willing to travel within the city or make anything online. Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lotttt

It's probably worth giving StopSO a call. They may be able to recommend someone.
