He was told by his Probation officer, that it will be a 0.01 percent of him going to prison, but to take a bag just incase
Already petrified
Not sure how to get through the next weeks

This bit is the worst and you just have to take each day as it comes.
sorry.
it is a good idea to take a bag because it shows the judge that your person is taking sentencing seriously. They will need to take the bag in with them to the dock.
sending hugs for the next 4 weeks

It's one of the most challenging times on this journey but sadly unavoidable. Be prepared for the worst & hope for the best, it is all you can do. Packing a prison bag is a horrible experience but necessary. My husband left our home to attend Crown on numerous occasions to find delays to proceedings & dates being pushed; I know there are others here who have experienced the same. I hope this isn't the case for you and your son. Sending strength to you both x

The next 4 weeks your anxiety level will be all over the place but its normal, this part has to happen unfortunately but at least you will know what the outcome will be at the moment everything is in limbo x
Taking a bag is just a practical part and hopefully he will not need it, put a list of contact numbers and some cash in the bag
Everything x it wont be needed xx
You will find the strength to get through this look how far you have come xx
How is your son?x

My person was told prison was unlikely. But that is where he went straight from court. I was sat in a coffee shop waiting for him to phone to pick him up.....
Upset mum
My son his starting to withdraw himself away from me
I have decided not to go to court as be to emotional
His mother in law is going with him

Those 4 weeks will be stressful and on one hand will seem endless and on the other will go far to quickly.
My son was told to prepare for prison as that was a real possibility. I took the month off work so we could spend time together and tried to get us out of the house doing activities he would enjoy. He also spent as much time with his children as he could.
We read through information about preparing for prison and what it would be like if that did happen. We called his bag 'his just in case bag' and made sure he had everything he would need in it.
Although the 4 weeks seemed like a long time when he was first given the date of sentencing it soon passed and before we knew it the day had arrived.
My recommendation is to spend as much time as you can over the next 4 weeks with your son doing anything that makes the days feel just that little bit better. For us the beach was our happy place and so we'd head down to a quiet spot where we could enjoy the sun and sea with our books and lunch.
