Have just read a Sky news report about child sexual abuse and the figures are outstanding.

7% of men or 1.8 million have admitted online offending again children at some point.

This is the equivalent of filling Wembley stadium 20 times over. Or a line of male offenders stretching from London to Glasgow.

CSA material is reported once every second.

Report goes onto say that urgent action is needed as it is a public health issue that could be prevented

Quite sobering and sad statistics

Frightening isn't it? Just proves how easy this content is to view. It needs addressing and quickly for everyone's sake!

7% in the UK and 1/9 (11%) in the US

I can imagine they're both underestimated, I read the guardian article about it here

https://www.theguardian.com/society/article/2024/may/27/more-than-300m-children-victims-of-online-sexual-abuse-every-year?

But will need to search for the actual research article

And they are the ones who admitted it. Dread to think what the true figures are. X
