Knock was Summer 2022, bailed initially, SS involved until end of 2022, 2nd interview January 2024 then went to CPS. Today my person has received an email from OIC to say that he needs to attend the station for CPS decision.

Is this normal? Originally my person was told he would receive a letter in the post. Worrying myself sick all over again, just want it all to end.

I'm sorry you're facing yet more stress and worry after this request. In our case this was to learn of charges. It is an absolutely awful time but can't be avoided however much we wish it could. Sending you strength x

I can just imagine how worrying this is for you. Just like Life feels over has said, my person had to attend the Police station to receive his charges. He was give the date for his plea hearing at magistrates court at the same time.

Hi. My OH had to do this. It took 20 mins and all they did was hand him the paper with the charges, read them to him and then inform him of the court date. My OH found it very hard as finally it was in black and white. But at the same time a step forward to know what we would be facing. And that the dreaded investigation was done. Then he could work with his solicitors on his defence
