So today was the day my oh went to court, he has a supended sentence for 2 years. The judge didn't say anything about the sor or Shpo. prosecution said the police wanted to change the shpo, just it was uploaded as it was this morning they wanted to do it. Judge was very blunt and said he wasnt waiting to sentence and if they wanted to ask for an a Shpo then they will need to apply back to court. I'm a little confused now. He has probation on Thursday. Will they know more? Barrister said to keep talking to solicitors to find out if Shpo has been applied for.
I'm writing this but don't know if even makes sense. Xx

My son's SHPO took six weeks post sentence!
His sex offender registration obviously limited his movements but really there were no restrictions on his freedom. It was quite bizarre.

Thank you for your reply, did he have to attend court again to find out why he got? I feel like we can move forward till its over xx

My son had to attend a 'zoom' setting at his solicitor's office. The judge said he did not have to attend court as the police/prosecution should have had the SHPOready for the original sentencing.
We were sent the draft SHPO a few days in advance,so we could make any challenges. They agreed to one amendment that it should not be necessary for Social Services to be informed of every household he may enter, with a child under 16,but the parent should know of his offences.
This was important to us as his siblings are likely to have children in the next 7 years!
Best wishes for a reasonable SHPO.
