Specialist cps?

weve been told by the leading investigator that the cps turnaround is approx 28 days however our solicitor has said it will take longer as it’s a specialist cps? Does anybody have any experience or know more about this? Thanks x
My husband attended for a voluntary interview in June, the decision from CPS did not come through until the end of August.
I wasn't aware it was a specialist CPS I thought they are just divided into regions. The charges are also sent through the post and that took another few weeks.
I kid you not there is absolutely no thought given to the people suffering in this whole process. We all just live our lives waiting for the next blow!

Hey JB,
I remember seeing when trawling the web that there are specialist cps who deal with rape and sex offences. I think they are called RASSO or something like that. They are a smaller part of cps and this is why it takes so long.

Hey JB,
All good with me thanks, we've had some news that the investigating officer doesn't think they have enough to proceed to passing to CPS but their boss usually overrides and sends everything to them. We are still waiting to see if we get the NFA or passed to CPS- which they could also come back with NFA, caution or charge etc. So whilst it feels positive it isn't positive yet and therefore I'm still battle planning on worst case scenario.
How are things with you? How are you managing the situation atm? How is husband doing?

That’s sounds really positive ttkit, I’ll keep everything crossed for you, hubby has got a therapist to help him deal with his porn addiction and he’s just been in contact with ‘safer lives’ who will do one to one sessions with him and then file a report I hope we’re not too late for that as I’m expecting a cps decision anyday now, in the meantime we just carry on as normal as we can whilst hiding the biggest secret of our lives, although I have now spoken to my sister so am getting a bit of extra support and when the time comes I know she’ll be there for us xx
That's good that hes getting the support he needs and hopefully the one to one assessment will go sell. I'm sure you've felt a weight off your shoulders having told your sister it must be such a relief to be able to talk about this with
