how long does it take after 'the knock' for social services to get in contact? And how do they get in contact? Also what can I expect on the first visit?

Mine was about a week after the knock they rang me .. then 10days after the knock they turned up at my house ..
It took over 2 months for an actual visit they tried to close immediately until an outcome was reached but I pushed for support I felt out of my depth
It was only 48 hours from the knock to SS ringing and intial visit at 5 days (arranged at time of call)
