Afternoon lovlies x

I hope you are all doing ok,

A fairly quiet week for me, work has been busy but a good busy if that makes sense,

My eldest is away with some friends this weekend, My daughter and her BF and the furbaby are doing there own thing, you all know where HC is so he will have his own routine going the weekend, as for me a bit of food shopping, may even pop to the garden centre to have a look around, I was given a book Kane&Able apparently it is meant to be an amazing read, so hopefully a few hours to just relax and unwind and get started on it ,

The sun has re appeared today so it would be lovely if it stays for the weekend x

I hope you all have something nice planned and if not just enjoy some you time

Love sent as always xx

I've had a good week too, a week that's just flown, enjoyed some family time.

My son tells me there's talk of expansion (in the prison where he is) in the form of outside 'pods', that's different. He's doing well and keeps positive - that so puts my mind at rest.

Can I once again send love and understanding to Ashley - so sad to read her post earlier this week, I hope & pray she is getting support x

Hi upset. Hope you enjoy your weekend.

I've been back at work this week. This half term is extremely busy with sending out end of year reports and dealing with the new pupils starting.

My youngest daughter is in the middle of her GCSEs and only has a couple of weeks left at school. She enjoyed when she went to the escape room on Sunday with her friends but they failed; they had to be let out.

My other daughter had a date on Wednesday with a new lad. She is no longer with the father of her daughter. The date went well and he even met the baby. It's early days but I'm hoping he'll treat her better than her ex.

Our oven broke the other day so we have that to sort out. There's always something grrrr

Hi everyone,

So very sad to hear Ashley's news I hope she has someone supporting her xx

Been a mixture of emotions this week as I attended the funeral of a very dear friend- a wonderful service though and a true reflection of a life well spent.

I read this quote also and it really speaks to me about all the incredible people on this forum without whom I would not be here and to whom I am forever grateful:

"The circles of women around us weave invisible nets of love that carry us when we are weak and sing with us when we are strong "

Have a good weekend love and strength sent as always

Seaside what a beautiful quote.

A strange week for me with synchronicity at play. My husband served in multiple prisons over his sentence and in each became a bit of a support figure to one person who was also from the City in which we live. They had arrived within a day of each other and were released within the same time frame. They were incredibly blessed to have an employer that kept their job open for them so on release they had gone back to work. Off we trot on a walk with the dog and who do we meet at the end of our Road. Yep you guessed it. He said my husband was his Dad number 2 and gave him the biggest of hugs. Of all the places to be working at that exact moment. A fleeting glimpse into a past experience for them both.

Aside from this I attended my husbands Probation meeting at his request, Visors called at our home and finally the decision has been made to set a date for him to come home from the AP. He also has a job interview next week. I'm trying to manifest a positive outcome without need for disclosure but I guess that's one for the universe to decide.

I hope you all find some joy this weekend x

My week has gone well. My replacement conservatory has now been completed and the furniture is back in. My next job is to get some quotes for shutters and start looking for a new sofa.

Today my son and I took a car full of toys and household bits and pieces to sell at a car boot sale. Most of it came back home with us but that doesn't matter at all. He did it and for me that means so much.

Upset and Smile, I'm completely with you in that if our boys are doing well we can breath more easily too.

Seaside, what a beautiful quote. Thank you for sharing it.

Life, wow getting a date for your OH to come home sounds like fantastic news.

Dawn, I hope you're remembering to take some time for you in your busy life. I heard a quote this week that said doing something for yourself isn't about me first it's about me too.

Thank you Ocean

I find time for myself on a Wednesday evening. I go to a knitting and crochet group and I've made some good friends. It's a chance for me to forget about things for a couple of hours and talk about anything else. Some of them do know about what happened last year but I think they may have forgotten as they don't ask about it anymore. And we've had a few new ones join us but they don't know anything.

On Saturday I take my daughter to a drama class and while I'm killing time, I go for a toasted teacakes and cappuccino and I read my book. My little treat at the end of a busy week x

Seaside xx

I am so truly saddened for your loss, heartbreaking, to be there to celebrate a beautiful final journey no matter how sad I am sure there were moments of smiles remembering the footprints they left , they may no longer be here but they will forever live on in memories, life is so unfair at times x

A beautiful quote, the net may indeed be invisible but the love, strength and compassion will never be far from you , we will always be here to wrap our arms around you xx

Busy is good but so is time to just recharge occasionally x

The emotions of this journey really does take its toll so it is natural you will have good moments but also low times , try to keep focused on the now and what you can control, easier said than done I know xx

Smile, you comment about outside pods in prisons got me thinking - what with all the overcrowding could they be proposing to have the overflow camping outside? Lol

Seriously though, I wouldn't put anything past the current Govt, and as it now looks like they're not going to last much longer, I'm disappointed that the other lot seem to be talking about dealing with the problem just by building more prisons. Blimey, when is someone going to do something sensible and ask why we send more people to prison than anywhere in Europe?
