My son answered bail yesterday and was told it's going to court he as not told us anything else other than that. He's been bailed a further 8 weeks does anyone have any advice on how long it will take from answering bail to court? Confused, upset and angry I just don't know what to do or what to think I never thought my family would be put in this predicament.

Hi and sorry you are having to deal with all this but this is a great place to get support. I see that you joined the forum last year so I assume your son was arrested around or before then?

Different areas have different waiting times but perhaps you can ask your son if he's heard whether things are with the CPS or if he's actually been charged yet. That will give you a bit of an indication of where he is in the whole process and a more accurate guess at waiting times for you. If he's on pre-charge bail still, then I'm so sorry but there could be a way to go still, but if he's been charged then he'll be on court bail and the police should have given him a date for his plea hearing.

Hope things move quickly for you xx

He answer's bail in 5 days, he got confused and after I spoke to the PC who is dealing with the case as told us there's been no decisions of court it's been sent to cps for a decision I'm broken I don't know how to fix myself at the moment. I'm worried about my younger son who as no idea of why his brother was arrested and why he can no longer live at home? I'm worried what do I do about school if this gets in the media, I cannot afford to move at the moment ????
