Hi,
I've certainly sent this information in via letter so I can't see why the email system would be any different...depending on the prison, they either get a print out of the email or they read it on a tablet.
They will need to add any contact numbers to their contact list which the prison will then have to verify before they are able to call.
Just as an FYI, calling a mobile number will cost them a lot more than a landline. There is another system called prison voicemail that works via an app this end...you have to pay a subscription fee, but it means you can each leave each other voicemaisl or accept live calls to your mobile whilst only costing them the same as calling a landline.
Hope that helps...xxx

I don't think there's much you cannot discuss on an e mail, apart from security risks.
I'd probably ring the prison itself to enquire about authorising a number - just to double check. They are usually helpful if you ring them direct.
i think it's an amazing service and fills in the gaps left after a phone conversation.
