Father's day making me want to scream

My dad was arrested and charged 4 years ago for accessing IIOC. My world fell apart and I've spent the last 4 years trying to rebuild it. I'm still not there yet and my life has changed forever. I live with the pain every day. I hate fathers day every year. Every birthday, every Christmas, every occasion is hard but I think fathers day trumps them all.
I don't 'hate' these days but they just make the sadness of our situation reappear and are certainly a trigger, so I get where you are coming from.
im sure they'll be more posts on the forum come Sunday. These days should be a celebration but cause pain to so many as they cope with their circumstances. :-(

I'm so sorry JE. Some companies actively ask people to opt out of marketing around Father's Day....but it's everywhere you can't avoid it even if you try. I've had to get my child to wrap the Father's Day present and help write out the card with them.....that was really hard. This whole thing is just torture for all involved.
