Anxious about media

Still waiting on an answer from cps, the date my person has been given to find out his charges has been pushed back twice now and preparing myself for it to pushed back for a third time. I'm thinking about when it goes to court and the media. I know nobody can say whether the media will be there or not but for my own peace of mind I'm trying to just gauge how many people it has or hasn't happened to on here.
I'm frightened for mine and my children's safety because somebody who lives a few roads down has had the P word spray painted all over their home, youths shouting out early hours in the morning for the man to come out of his home and show his face etc. Just causing a lot of trouble. My person doesn't live here anymore but people will most probably use this address as the punching bag.

In the media twice. House graffittied and was subject to other criminal activity as a consequence sadly.
In the media but have had no repercussions. People on work found out this way but have had nothing but support.
I'm going to message you x
If he doesn't live with you, your address is unlikely to be mentioned in court.
my husband had moved out and it was his new address reported

Hi jellybean, with my ex partner it was in media about his plea it wasn't all over social media like I thought it may be was an online news article and sentencing it wasn't reported on at all. his address where his parents also live was published but they didn't get any vandalism and haven't had anything said to them. It's such a worry about people finding out and how they will react and I totally feel for you but if it does get reported on people soon move on to talk about something else but you do worry about what the repercussions will be. I hope yours doesn't get any reporters. X
Thanks for all your responses.
My person was quite a familiar face in my area, I've even had people knock to ask where he's disappeared too.. People I don't even know and it catches me off guard every single time :(

Hi, my son was in the media twice. The headline called him a 'p' and his name, age and our address was printed. We've had no repercussion. My husband spoke with our immediate neighbours to tell then the true story as we were aware they'd have read the media version and both thanked us for telling them. Both sets of neighbours have children but they've never done anything to make my son feel uncomfortable.
We were in the media for sentencing article left a lot to the imagination, we had an evening of trial by social media but we had all come off it so didn't read it, work I have had no issues at all my work involves the community heavily, my daughter had one thing said to her at school, school reacted immediately and her friends have been nothing but supportive, he has no shpo so her friends are even back at the house now as well, one neighbour from down the street made a rude gesture at oh, rest of neighbours just acting like they always did, our minds are our own worst enemy in this journey we just keep our heads down and get on with it, we are 4 months since sentence 8 months until conviction spent. My oh did some gardening jobs on days off and we imagined they would all stop but all old customers contacted wanting him back and even has a few new ones, I never dreamt that would happen this year, I feared the worst.
Much like friends on here, my son had the full media circus including headline news on local radio. We were literally shaking in our boots with fear, I've never felt so terrified.
We had no repercussions whatsoever - our neighbours immediately picked up on it and were obviously as shocked as us - but they showed nothing but ongoing support and infact we've gained a closer relationship.
Fingers crossed JellyBean xxxx

Hi, I can only tell you my experience.
I was informed about the "court reporter", that they might be in court on the day of sentencing. There wasn't one so I thought we'd gotten away with it. Six weeks later, I got a call from the OIC giving me two hours notice that my ex's case, mug shot, name, age and the road we lived in was going on the Police FB page. It was a half term and my poor two youngest children had to return to school with everyone knowing what their Dad had done. It was horrific. The Police put a "marker" on my address in case of any trouble. The trouble with that was that my social housing landlord was informed and I was threatened with eviction. The media thing was by far one of the biggest issues. I'm going through this a second time and I'm terrified all over again. My advice to you is to nip any trouble you MIGHT get by reporting it to the Police. They should help you. X

My person was in court for his first hearing on Friday , some how he has media restrictions put on his case so no media what so ever , I still have no idea how this happened but when I checked the court listings the day before it was under his name
How did he manage to get media restrictions ?
