Hi - I visted A&E at the weekend as my son had an issue with his willey. I think he had just pulled the foreskin back too much and it all got caught up/ swollen etc.

Had to tell the nurse that SW were involved :(

We don't have a live case as our CIN case was closed with safety plan in place. Do you think they will come back into our lives now or just review the nursing notes and make a decision?

My OH is on RUI and since he has been on RUI I have got a new job which requires me being in the office a couple of days a week, and I rely on him helping with childcare to do this. I am just so scared about what is going to happen when this goes to court and everything will probably go back to when he was first on bail and can not be unsupervised.

Hi, A&E should ask about SS involvement as a standard question for children attending with an injury. If there is SS involvement they may be notified of the attendance for their records but it shouldn't mean they need to get involved again. It actually shows good parenting that you sought medical advise when you were concerned. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Thank you for the reassurance, I forgot about that part of being a good parent!

This process does funny things to our brains; the keeping it together for the sake the family, the trauma, the white lies to family and friends, the limbo, the menopause are all slowly distroying my previously sensible thought processes.

Hi,

when my husband was Rui my daughter broke her arm snapped both her bones in her forearm it was so horrific. We were asked about ss which I knew they would ask and I had so much anxiety building up to the question, i just felt so ashamed and embarrassed.

We never heard a single thing from ss afterwards, I guess they only report things to ss if there is a concern or if there's no explanation to the injury.
