I'm really struggling mentally at the moment. We are 10 months into this journey and Every waking minute I'm wondering what will happen next. I'm finding it a lot harder waiting for the cps decision than I did during the 9 month investigation stage. Waiting for that phone call or letter is literally taking over my thoughts how do I try put it to the back of my mind? Xx

Hi

i don't have any advice but wanted to say I know just how you're feeling as we're waiting on cps. The living in limbo is just so hard not knowing when that phone call is going to come. Trying to keep busy doesn't always help as the thoughts overshadow everything. My inbox is always open if you want to chat x

Hi Bub, I'm not sure you'll be able to put it out of you mind as knowing the case is with the CPS means you know the next part of the journey is coming. What I will say is that my persons case went back and forth between the police and the CPS at least twice if not more and it took months and months to get the actual charges so you could still be in for a wait. Do you know what the charges are likely to be? The charges my son received were the same as what the police told him to expect following his arrest and statement but the age of the victim was younger than he expected.

Hugosmum... Thank you for the offer of support through private messages. It's such a horrible wait.

Ocean...we haven't been told anything at all about potential charges. The OIC just keeps saying she's trying to get this sorted for us as quick as she can which I fear has given us false hope of an NFA considering it's gone to Cps.

It could still be NFA, if the CPS decide there is not enough evidence to charge.
