Hello all - sorry for such a frustrated post today, as yesterday we were pushed back and bail was extended because CPS hasn't reached a decision. I do know many are waiting even years to have something back, and we are only into this since late March. I just want to know if CPS and the officer take personal circumstances into consideration when delaying everything.

I am very young and unfortunately, we are literally completely alone in the country. We have no family here and not even one friend. Our parents come to visit us sometimes, but obviously, they need to go back to their country to work.

It is hugely hard for the two of us to be alone all the time and not be able to share this pain with anyone else. My partner is not able to travel due to bail restrictions and I am here to be supportive, but I started taking pills for anxiety. I also have a severe history of depression which, although it made me incredibly strong in the past, is very challenging now. We are both receiving help from a therapist whom we meet weekly and GP. I guess they do not take all this into account, but I wanted to know if it is even worth mentioning to the solicitor and if anyone else had such situation

Hello, I'm so sorry you are going through all of this and going through it without friends and family to lean on. Our case took a very long time, an abnormally long time. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do or day to change the speed of these cases or any case really. I tried speeding them along one time becayse of the impact it was having on my children but wDnt successful as it can't be rushed. The CPS will be done when they are done. I'm glad you are getting help through a therapist and your GP. I'm wondering if the help you are getting with a therapist is just normal therapy or a specialist in these circumstances? x

Hi

Sadly the process seems to take so long and we are just left living in limbo and there's nothing we can do to speed things up. It's so hard just waiting and everyone on here will know just how you are feeling as they will like me be waiting or will have already gone through this stage and remember how difficult it is. It's good that you are seeking support from your GP and councillor but do make sure that the councillor is specialised in cases like yours. My OH has a stop So recommended therapist and it's really made both of us understand the reasons behind my OH's offending. Having no family around you is hard but please keep reaching out on here as there's always someone who will understand xx

Hi, this might be of help to you. They might be able to put you in touch with a volunteer in your area that you can meet with etc.
