We had to go through safeguarding meeting at church they were very professional and the police were happy we took it upon ourselves to organise it, he literally sits in the same seat every week and doesn't stay for coffee afterwards, they want a follow up this month that's part of the process, police said the church had obviously dealt with this previously as it was very professionally handled and had extensive knowledge for safeguarding
I never understand why there is a need to disclose if the person is not going to be with an u18 for less than 12 hours. That is what the SOR says. Yet OH was told he was not allowed to attend his elderly mother in a care home xmas party as there MAY be families with children and IF children did go then we would need to disclose to the family, complete strangers who we would not be left alone with. So we would not know until we arrived if he could go in, and if there were no children, but then if children walked in he would have had to disclose, he was told he could not just leave he would have to tell them. As it turned out no children went so he could have gone but as a result his mum had no one as i was in work. Am i missing something in the rules?
Thank you for your replies.
I would have thought disclosures would have been looked at not long after being charge.

This was said to us straight after he was found guilty but he had already spoken to the church, he was asked about a basic week what he did and it was literally work and church
