My son has ASD, ODD and learning disabilities. He doesn't go out unless I take him out or drop him off infact he's pretty much at home all the time and doesnt go out without someone. When questioned he acknowledged he been sent some stuff but not anything of really young kids but did think maybe a couple was younger than 16. He was 18 at the time of arrest functioning at 14-15 years old. They acknowledged he never went looking for this stuff as it was sent to him via snapchat and confident he werent interested in kids but as it's on his phone they charging him now and came yesterday with a court date next month. This was back in march 2022 the arrest so images or videos would been before this date but they haven't said what the dates were so he may have been functioning even younger. I asked why they haven't got the person who sent it as he clearly was trying to groom my son or get off on sending this stuff but they can't track this person down who obviously a pro covering his tracks. I just needed to vent maybe someone else been in similar situation can advise because I don't know what to expect next.
