Hiya ladies.

So after just 2 years hubby has finished his meeting with Probation and doesn't have to go through that anymore.

Just awaiting for the Visor team to get in touch to drop his visits to once a year.

Small steps but ticking off boxes.

That's great news Chelsea we have also been told that it is very likely that son will finish his time with Probation in January next year which will be 2 years post sentencing.

As you say small steps but great strides forward xxx

Hi Chelsea1

Great news for you both, another box ticked ?

Did OH find probation useful at all? My Oh is a couple of months in and they don't seem to be offering that much help. (Just seems like a tick box exercise for them)

So great to hear of people moving forwards xxx

Hiya Lilyrose.

He found it good to unload onto somebody else and somebody different to talk to etc.

They have got him involved in a Job centre crew who work with Probation and hopefully moving forward something comes of that.

We have been very disappointed with the Probation service

No paper records for our son, appointments changed at the last minute, communication by text-even though son is dyslexic.

Difficult for us as parents as son treated as an independent adult, but very obvious that he has weak functional skills, note taking etc. Finds it difficult to explain himself due to speech impediment & processing difficulties.

They encouraged bail refusal but offered no justification for this judgement.
We naively thought they were there to help him in the community.

Hiya Scaredandconfused.

How's you hunni.

So he didn't see his probation officer for around 12 weeks and thought something we up so he messaged them and they came back stating that his probation was over and that his paperwork has been assessed and now awaiting a decision from the visor team.
When he spoke to them together that's what was talked about.

Different probation teams do different things. What was your hubby charges if you don't mind me asking ?

That's really good once a year would be so much better.

Mine only sees probation once a month and visor barely anything maybe 4 times a year if that I hope his can be dropped to once would be so much easier.

He was charged as making 4 months left of probation and 3 and bit of sor x
