OH was arrested on 8/02/24 social services was involved straight away. Didn't have much involvement and they closed the case. OH was asked to come in for another interview he as one charge and is going to court on 25 July. Will social services be involved again? Solicitor said don't worry about the charge it's minor but it still worries me.

Hi,

ss may get involved again after sentencing. For me that was a phone call to check I was still ok with following the safety plan. Our case was closed a few months before sentencing and wasn't reopened until I requested amendments to the safety plan xxx

We didnt have a safety plan. Nothing written anyway. Only that he was supervised that's it. After court will he be aloud back home straight away?

A lot depends on the outcome in court, if it's for sentencing then his solicitor needs to have access to any SHPO they are requesting so they can challenge anything disproportionate like a no contact clause which would prevent him from returning home.

My person had been remanded and attended court via video link so after sentencing there was still a delay (few hours) in him being released.

If you mean in relation to ss, is he currently living with you? If he isn't then they will be involved again to change this as they'll need to do further assessments xxx
