3 years since knock at the door 18mths since conviction. He took me to court to get access and got 6hours fortnightly unsupervised contact. It makes me feel ill every time I have to pass him over. Only three sessions have happened and because it says that after time arrangements can be changed between parents he is expecting school holidays the lot. How can this be exceptable my son has just turned 8 . He thought I was ok to just move back home after the conviction. Just super stressed as he is in complete denial. They can’t put him on a course because of the denial. So no worries hey .

Hi JJ

Can I ask what sentence your partner got? Ss seem quite relaxed about the unsupervised contact considering your sons age in my opinion. The ss in my area are quite harsh and I feel forced into breaking off and ties I have with my husband. They expect me to be separated etc but its not that easy. I know they can force you etc but that's how I feel.

If you are happy with the unsupervised then that's good. Yes I do feel my husband acts as if all is the same as before. I often have to bring him back to reality x

He got 18mth suspended for two years as where like you need to split it has to be supervised all before sentencing . I was doing supervision it got to much so I stopped contact . After sentencing he took me to court and they decided unsupervised which made me crumble inside.

Hi JJ

Sorry to hear that. I just dont understand the whole system as it's not consistent throughout the uk. I would like unsupervised as I feel my kids are older and can safeguard. I want it done gradually though so to build up trust but I just dont think as will agree. I hope you manage to get things sorted. It's so scary and the support we get is pathetic x
