Afternoon lovlies x

Phew what a scorcher today!

Hope you are all doing ok and your week has been kind to you all x

Work has been very much the same ,today we had issues with Microsoft like many other companies, my PC is still not working so for me I left work at 12, thankfully I got most of my work done early before it crashed

This morning I ordered a bouquet of flowers from a local florist (they make the most beautiful bouquets) so picked them up on route to my daughters to pick the furbaby up, she absolutely loves fresh flowers so always brings a smile to her beautiful face :-) x

HC phoned last night so we had a lovely chat, he is good, he was saying there is lots of chat going on about the 40% early release, but he knows it wont make any difference to his sentance as his was over 4 yrs, but as I said to him we just need to focus on the here and now , he has his new course work through for his degree which starts in Sept, we get to send a clothes parcel in next month, so me and his sister will be shopping for a few bits soon for him,

I hope you all have a lovely weekend, love sent as always xx

Afternoon Upset

Busy week at work as usual. Roll on next Friday when I break up for the summer.

My oh was supposed to have his plea hearing at crown court yesterday but after checking courtserve Wednesday, we found that he had been removed from the list and put back to next Monday. I had got the day off work, so I went into work as I'll need Monday off. I wish I wasn't at work though as it was horrendous. I didn't manage to get my dinner until 2pm as we were stuffing envelopes with end of year reports and consent forms for 2 hours.

All ok here. My son been suffering with cold symptoms but seems to be getting over it now, must be hard with no home comforts.

As for me, yes not a bad week - gosh where is July going? Been involved in a few end of term activities with the grandchildren too -always precious times.

Thinking of my forum friends and wishing you all well xxxxxx

Hi Upset

Yes it is very frustrating, especially when no one tells us and we have to chase our solicitor for confirmation.

In our area, we get 5 weeks for the summer holidays instead of 6, but we have 2 weeks off in October half term.

Rest of the family are okay, except our granddaughter has been in a grumpy mood. As our daughter will say, she has got serious FOMO as you can see she is tired but fighting it.

Honestly it's so frustrating, when my son was on remand we had his court date cancelled 3 times , they would phone me at 16 55 the day before to say it's been moved, I would then have to tell HC when he phoned later in the evening, so dissapointing and your anxiety is already through the roof x

Aww bless her it must be the heat x

I've checked court serve and at the moment he's on the list for Monday. Hoping nothing happens over the weekend to postpone it again. His solicitor said he would phone him between 5 & 6 to confirm either way, but he's not heard anything x

I'm just home from spending the day at a steam and craft Faye with my mum. It was something she always did with my Dad but hasn't been to for 25 years and wanted to go back and see if it was still as she remembered. Personally I'd rather of been on the beach but we had a good day.

I'm a bit worried about my son at the moment as he seems to have withdrawn a bit in the past week. He says he's ok but I'm not convinced so I'm keeping a close eye on him.

My husband has reunited with a couple of family members this week which is a positive.

Sending you all love and strength.

Hello friday check in

Not much to report really. Nothing much has happened. OH still has not completed the decorating which i am beginning to get a bit annoyed about. He is not well and find he is getting very quiet. Following from the knock he was making such an effect to be engaged and even seemed like his old self, but not now. He wont let me let anyone in to complete the decorating but i am living with the contents of my bedroom in boxes throughout the house!

Just a little fed up with my situation. Sorry about the moan. X

Hi Upset,

We had the same issue with work, affected massively by the Microsoft issue!

It was a very warm day yesterday, still warm today although overcast. Fingers crossed for better sleep tonight.

Good to hear your son's positivity, when our people are positive it massively helps us doesn't it.

Enjoy your weekend Smile, keep strong.

Xxx

Hi Webb x

Sorry OH is not doing to well in himself , it's so difficult isn't it x

Do you have a friend of the family who would be able to help with decorating, I know how much you are looking forward to having your own little place of sanctuary xx

Afternoon ladies :)

I've enjoyed reading your updates, it's nice to see what everyone has been up to but also sorry for the struggles everyone is facing.

My week has been ok, though yesterday my eldest (age 6) was at a friends for the evening and the mum sent me a video of him quad biking and playing football with the dad, it really made me well up as the likelihood of my son's dad being able to host friends for him in that way is very low. I have times of feeling very sad and angry feeling why me, I have asked the psychologist who I am having sessions with to help me with this. Oh and seeing everyone going on family holidays hurts my heart as I so wish that was me, last year it was. I have left it too late to go with friends and can't go with my children's dad as he isn't allowed overnights until the case has been to court and outcome determined (even after this it might not be agreed)

sending love to everyone this weekend xx

Hugs sent lovely x

Its strange how things can trigger our emotions,

As your not getting away , why not if you can do camping in the garden , I know it's not the same but if you know someone who can lend you a tent it wont cost you anything, books, snacks, to keep you busy xx

Thanks guys, the camping is a lovely idea, I will definitely do that. There is a nice open water swimming place near me where you can camp too, I think I will try that. I resonate with everything everyone says so much and although I don't want anyone to feel the pain I do, it's comforting to know I am not alone xx

Hi all, it's only the summer holidays! Just been catching up on posts.

As usual, I'm renovating. This summer it's the garden. I have done battle with a 10ft privet this weekend!

Had great fun entertaining nearly 200 people with our Summer variety show. Opted to coordinate Front Of House,as still wary of linking our name too obviously with the production. A sad offshoot of our current situation awaiting another court case.

In the meantime we try to enjoy our lives as much as possible.

Now having almost daily phonecall as so now has PIN for (cell) phone.

Still not seen a solicitor in nearly three weeks ????
