What are the differences in sentances for these? Which is considered worse in the eyes of the law?

Inciting is a really bad one...just found out yesterday that my OH is look at inciting a female child and also sexual communication with a child. One pic was sent by the "decoy" no pics was sent from my OH. But it's the inciting is the serious one which could upto 14 years custodial

Communication is generally considered worse than images - I suppose because it's seen as direct contact/abuse of a child.

In my personal opinion, sometimes images can be worse than communication.

There are so many factors to be considered that I don't think it's as black and white as saying one is worse than the other. Communication for example can be communication with a child or communication with other adults about a child. You'll be able to see the starting point and category ranges for the different offences in the sentencing guidelines.

Hi, we've been waiting 3 years RUI for communication offences. I think communication offences are way more complex in that it's the content in the conversations and if pics were sent and what's on the pics. Then aggravating and mitigating circumstances.

As you'll see on here too it depends on the judge on the day, we've seen so many different outcomes, sometimes presentence reports, any other reports are actually read and referred to but other times they're not. It's very scary to feel you're "at the mercy" of a judge and what kind of day he's had.

I absolutely hate this whole process. Ours isn't communication but they're including a conversation with another adult in evidence. My person don't remember the conversation and they haven't provided it for me to be able to read.

The solicitor suggested a not guilty verdict but I feel like that's just gonna make things worse.
