Post sentencing
Notifications OFF
We have waited for so long like everyone else to move a step closer to putting it all behind. 16 months after the knock when sentencing was over with, and was not custodial, did not hit the media, it was a huge relief but I also expected a de-escalation at the child protection front which we did not get. We were issued proceedings a week before the sentencing and it was one court over with, and on to the next, one I was more terrified about as the local authority attempted to remove children from my care. We are now pending multiple assesment which will take several months to complete and conclude and meanwhile contact with their father takes place in a contact centre and my hopes to reunite under one roof fade one day at a time. I've been running on adrenaline for so long, waiting and hoping for good news and a bit of luck for so long, looking after everyone by myself for so long.. I just don't know how much longer this must go on for. Some mornings I wake up and my life is so daunting. Where is the light at the end of the tunnel!?
