Hi,
Is the report you mentioned ss closing the case for now with a view to getting involved once baby arrives?
There are a few things that need to be addressed in your post; has your husband admitted what he has done to you or police? If he has then he should look at contacting Lucy Faithfull for information on what to do now, there are modules and courses he can do to understand his behaviour. There is a course available to you too. You could also do a safeguarding course and a parenting course.
While he is being investigated (which can take years) you will most likely have to live as a single parent. Once baby is here ss will want to be certain that you are protective so will do more assessments and possibly meetings involving a safeguarding health visitor or midwife.
Once the investigation concludes there is a chance of reuniting as a family unit with a safety plan in place. In answer to your question regarding moving abroad with your parents, if you feel that you would benefit from having their support while baby is small then that should be your reason for making the move. If your husband is convicted of iioc then the safeguarding procedures will remain in place at whatever stage you reunite before your child reaches 18 so moving won't stop ss involvement forever. Unless you need to make a temporary move for support then I would probably suggest working with ss to achieve a safe family life moving forward xxx
