Trial delay, one working day before due to begin

Anyone had experience with trial delays?
trial was due to being Monday 29th it got delayed on the Friday before (giving one working days notice)
Found out today, it's been delayed to November 2025. How is this fair?
Do we have a chance of moving it? Can't do this another 16months.
Any help/advice welcome!

My ex's trial date has just been moved, apparently the courts are back logged. This could go on for months. The way it's effecting me is that, I don't feel I can move on.
All of his stuff is here, he's not, and he's asked me to store it if he goes to prison as he 'hasn't got anybody'. All of his friends have un friended him as it was all over social media. I know I should just get rid of his things but it's his livelyhood and I feel guilty, which is terrible as he is the guilty one.
