So our person is days away from being officially homeless (we made the mistake of being relatively open and honest with the letting agency when we found out that he was in remand, so they started the "abandonment" process)

DH was advised by a colleague (ex-police) that we should try to get this stopped, as he's more likely to be sent down uf he's of no fixed abode...

Is this true?

When we had the knock,DS was still living at home & I was asked if I wanted him back...

At that point we said yes - one of his bail conditions was to find somewhere else to live (which obviously he did - not a very nice place and he was in no way ready to leave home, but there we are)

This time round, there's no way he can come back (they probably won't let him and I don't want his younger siblings to have to deal with the nastiness that's started)

Tbh, jail might actually give him the wake up call that he needs...
