A new week....

After a bad week last week, I have started a fresh week with a better frame of mind. I have started the couch to 5k again and I've been for a run this morning. We have done the couch to 5k before and it has been about 2 years I've been running. I was inspired by my daughter, who has never shown interest in any sort of exercise, came home on Saturday and said she had downloaded the app, and she went running yesterday. If I suggested doing it together though, she would say no lol. My OH had to come with me as our daughter was at home so I didn't go as early as I wanted to. It was already getting really warm at 8.30 when I was on my way back. My OH used to do running but it has been over a year since he went as he is in so much pain in his legs, so he walked behind me instead. The challenge will be keeping it up when I am back at work.
My daughter seems in a better mood too, though on her way out to her boyfriend's she was going to wear her leather jacket as she thinks she'll be cold on the way back. We told her she won't need it so she went off in a huff without her jacket.

Hi Dawn, I'm pleased you have found something to work at and I'm sure the exercise will help. You show so much strength and determination and should be feeling really proud of yourself as you start this new week.
First of all Well done you should be incredibly proud of yourself Dawn xx
So pleased this week has started of positive for you
A step at a time, keep smiling and no matter what comes your way you will navigate through it xx

Running is magic. I've finally bought a treadmill as running has kept me alive for the past 20 years, and was one of the hardest losses to cope with following the knock. I can't run away from my problems or gain headspace or see beautiful forests / riverside etc, but I can still move on the treadmill (when the kids don't endlessly interrupt). Keep at it. Big hug xx
