So sentencing tomorrow. Not reall sure how i feel apart deom numb. Things have been really difficult for me lately and quite possibly the last thong i needed to be thinking about was the sentencing. I have no idea what to expect with possible putcomes as i know it depends on judge and area but i am so nervous about possible press coverage

Hi Becky, will be thinking of you tomorrow. I remember that feeling the day before sentencing and wouldn't want to wish that on anyone. Are you planning to go to court? I went but in the end couldn't face going into the actual court room so stayed in the little meeting room outside until after it was all over. Do you have any idea of possible sentencing outcome from the solicitor? We were told to be prepared for the worst case of a custodial, but ended up with a suspended.

Whether it ends up on social media / in the News does seem to be a bit of a lottery, hopefully there is something else big going on and you will get lucky. If you don't, just remember that people will soon find something else to talk about.

hopefully you can get some sleep tonight.

Thankyou for the reply. No the solicitor hasnt advised anything as far as im aware. Im no linger with him so only going on what he tells me. I am still unsure about going or not to be honest part of me wants to the other doesnt. I think im going to wait untill the morni g and decide then. It is very difficult to put into words this feeling im glad its coming to an end but then also petrified of the outcome. Such a strange place to be thought i went through all possible emotions since the knock and then i realised i havent just jave to hope for the best xx

I hope the day wasn't too stressful for you. How do you feel about the sentance? It's a good sign there were no reporters so hopefully it won't be in the paper.

Becky, do you mind telling me what your partner was charged with to get that sentence?

Glad you have made it through the process and hopefully no media. Xx

Hi.

He was originally charged with posession and distribution of all cat images. When he pleaded guilty from the beginning and was upfront with police from the knock. When it got to sentencing however the judge dismissed the cat a images and the distribution. They said something about the images not being classed as cat a and the distribution was deemed not intentional as it was all backed up automatically or something. Not really sure what that means to be honest. Judge also said that the police reports had also not been filled out or finished in the correct manner so they conoletly disregarded the distribution and the cat a. So in reality he was sentenced for posession of cat b ans c images wich the numbers where around a handful in tototalI feel that the sentence is fair to be honest. He has done something very very wrong and has been rightly handed a punishment for that at the same time as being given time to rehabilitate and get the help he needs to ensure this doesnt happen again and to het help for the reason he ended up in this situation in the first place xx

Thanks Becky. It's always interesting to hear what sentences they get for what charges, not that you can call it. They differ so widely depending on area and just how the judge is feeling on the day. I hope you can both move forward now and get some kind of normality, although different normality, back into your lives. Xx
