Hi everyone,
I hope you are all doing okay xx
We are 7 weeks post knock and waiting...my son (the offender) will be doing his GCSE's next year and I'm wondering if future appointments to go to the police station/ youth court etc (I have no idea what to expect) could coincide with his exams. Wondering if anyone has any experience with this and if they would avoid exam dates? Maybe I'm deluded idk!!
Any experience or advice would be appreciated thank you.
We also feel in limbo about booking a holiday next year...

I have no experience of this personally but I am aware of a boy near me who was allowed to finish his A levels before court for an online terrorism offence. I think qualifications are so important for rehabilitation that they have to respect the exam dates. Plus your person is a child and it is the law that they are in school!

Thank you for your reply K4, that's reassuring xx
If it gets that far barristers can present dates to avoid for you to the court and your son will be invited in for a 2nd interveiw by police so this can also be moved if there is something important at school.
Just want an end to it, thank you! That makes sense. I was just worried it would trump anything and was worried they wouldn't let us prioritise exams etc.
Thank you so much, it's reassuring to know this x
