Afternoon lovlies x

Another week completed, and with the BH a slightly longer weekend ahead x

Hope you are all bearing up ok

Just home from picking the Furbaby up as my daughter and her BF (such sociable butterflies) have a packed weekend ahead , so for me it will be quieter, walks over the fields/woods exploring,

I have also made a promise to myself to pick up a book and start reading again, I am spending to much time watching Netflix,

HC phoned last night had an hour long chat with a few laughes ,he is good , we have sorted his clothes list to send in the end of next week so he is looking forward to having some new bits, I have been allowed to also get him a duvet and fitted sheet set, such small things mean so much to them x

I hope you all have something nice to look forward to over the next few days and hopefully the rain will stay away( I highly doubt it) it was like a winter's day this morning and know the sun is blazing,, good old British weather eh!

Love sent as always xx

Hi Friday check in

Even though it is still the summer holidays, I went into work on Monday as I had time to make up and it was a good excuse to get a jump on sorting the class registers and new pupils for September. It was eerily quiet with no pupils or staff in, but I got loads done. It's amazing how much work you can get done when the phone isn't constantly ringing and no interruptions from other staff.

My OH had his first counselling session with the Aurora Project on Monday. I thought he would come home depressed but he said it wasn't as bad he thought it would be.

My daughter got her GCSEs yesterday and she did better than she thought she would. She has enough to get onto the course she wants to at college. As a 'well done' she wanted to go out for the day, so we all went to the seaside including our other daughter and granddaughter. It was a lovely day out and the weather wasn't too bad, at least he didn't rain!

Certainly a blustery one today but thankfully no damage......

where do these weeks just go - it's weekend then no sooner it's another update - unbelievable and scary...... oh well done to your daughter Dawn.. xx

Son doing good and been jet spraying walkways today - bet that was fun in gale-force winds. He always sounds upbeat and pleased to speak to me. God knows how he would have coped without our connection, it makes me proud.

Proud despite the burden I carry, it's kept him going and given him strength and the fight he'll need facing his future. I then know I've made the right decision.

Here's hoping you have a good weekend. And sending out a hug to those feeling sad at the moment x

Dawn that's great news about your daughter well done to her xx

Smile you should be very proud of your boy he is doing really well and having you to support him will make all the difference.

Upset good to hear that our HC is doing well.

Things are going well with us and it is good to see Son beginning to feel more confident and so much stronger mentally- we've all come a long way in the past couple of years and although it won't always be a smooth process we will journey on together.

Lots of love and strength to everyone and hugs to anyone who needs one xxx

Hello

I often read the Fridays check in but have been a little shy (not sure if that's the right word to use). But thought I would overcome it.

Today has been difficult, actually the week has been pants! OH had plea hearing Tuesday, within a couple of hours it was online in the local papers and in the printed paper the following day. Due to this I've had to tell family which was very hard. I also told my boss as I needed more time off work, she has been fantastic. Feel like I'm back to the day of The Knock. My boss at work then told me she is leaving, this has also knocked me for six as she is one of the best bosses I've worked with, she did make me cry as she said she counted me as one of her friends.

Hoping having some friends to stay at the weekend will help.

Stay Safe All, weather is not looking too good.

Hugs xx

Aww so pleased your son is doing well in himself and of course having you both by his side he will continue to flourish, if you look back at the beginning of this journey and look at how devastated and lost you all were and now the new branches of hope are growing it is something we all can hope for x

I know HC will have a bumpy road ahead but I also know the sunshine will return for him xx

Lonely x

It's more apprehensive than shy, we totally have been where you are, so well done you for reaching out, you will never be on your own here x

The media is horrendous isn't it but do not allow yourself to waste your energy worrying about it, yes it forced you in having to tell family but at the same time you no longer have to live with the secrecy of this journey within your family, the media reporting will be old news soon enough, but knowing it's out there is scary, but we have no control over this so conintrate on what you can control x

My manager has been amazing throughout this, and so have my colleagues, we always think people will judge when actually they are more concerned about us

Take a day at a time and please reach out to us for guidance and support xx

My week has been busy. I've had the week off from work to provide 24/7 supervised contact for my son and his children. We've been to the beach, the park, swimming, an English Heritage event and a carnival. Tomorrow I'm opting out of the soft play outing to take a friend who is struggling with her mental health out for coffee.

My son had his 1:1 induction this afternoon for the Horizon course and has returned home quite positive about it. When he returned I heard his son ask where he'd been and he replied saying that he'd been to meet someone who was going to teach him how to make better choices.

Despite the terrible journey you're on, I hope on this bank holiday weekend you manage to find something to be thankful for.

Upset, thank you for your comforting words.

It's very true about my family now knowing, I don't know what the outcome will be from them but no longer have to lie or make excuses.

Morning everyone. I haven't posted on the Friday check in for a while but read every week. Always gives me a lift hearing people getting on despite what we're going through especially with the support of the lovely people here. OH has got a job albeit down the self employed route. He's enjoying getting out and about and I'm just relieved he's doing something now. We're coming up to the first year of all this happening. What a year!

Enjoy the bank holiday weekend folks :)

Hello friday check in

Have not done much this week except go to work and go line dancing. Last night went out with friends who do not know of my situation so its nice to pretend albeit for a few hours that everything is normal. Supposed to be going for a long walk today up a mountain (small) but weather is not very good, so not sure if i am going. I am working all over the bank holiday weekend but hope everyone has a nice one. X

Hello Friday check-in,

Oh how I love reading about all of your weeks and how everyone's getting on with life. Thank you for sharing.

I was off work this past week and am doing a few things around the house. The big one is painting my son's bedroom. He picked a beautiful bluey green color and it's going to look so cheery.

Take care!
