Proof of images being received
Notifications OFF
One question that comes up regularly, is what happens if no images are found on the devices? Can they still be prosecuted?
Ordinarily I would say no, because no images means no proof they were ever there. However, in the recent Huw Edwards case, something was mentioned that changes that.
No images were found on his devices. But they did have the phone of the person who sent him the images and on the Whatsapp it had a blue tick showing, to confirm that the images sent had been received by Huw Edwards. It's similar to getting a confirmation that the email you sent has been opened and read by the other person.
I don't know if this is only on Whatsapp, or if it happens on other apps too, but it is something to bear in mind.
