We had the knock back in January 2024
i was shocked to say the least.....I work in a professional capacity and this could affect my capacity to do my role.
my son was the target.....
There's no rhyme or reason to it
He's so young and has his life to live but now feels like his life is over.
He was 18 when he looked, 19 when arrested and now just turned 20.
I feel so angry and have so much blame/guilt on myself, on my ex who was abusive and a real nasty person, a narcasist, an abuser.
I have photos I took for the police after my ex hit my son leaving handprints in him.
My son was released on bail pending further investigation in feb and has been rebaiked twice...
I don't know what to think, how to help him, where to turn.
how long does this process take before any decision is made...
My son has completely withdrawn, hates himself and thinks he's worthless. He says he has no life. He'd taken a year out before going to uni and should have been going in September but has put that on hold....
any help, advice would be greatly appreciated. how long does it take....
I haven't been able to tell anyone about this, neither has my daughter. We've kept it as out dirty nasty little secret because the shame and disgust around the subject and how we all feel.

This is a huge shock and as mums we try to look at ourselves as if we are to blame BUT no matter what this journey brings there is nothing we have or could have done to prevent this happening x
My son has brought me here also and while we did not condone what they have done, there are reasons we can all resonate with
It's not black or white, of course there are victims and that's the hardest part to have to live with
My son self loathed and had no self esteem, in benone to me, he shut himself away, barley spoke, it's not an excuse by no means

My son was 18 , arrested Feb 2023 , charged June 2024 , plea hearing July 2024 and we have crown court sentencing in about 10 days time .
The constant bail extensions were very stressful , it has taken so long to get here ????
