Hi everyone,

I hope you are well.

I have recently applied to a new job and been offered it today. The role is working with children and something I have always loved and wanted to do.

My partner was arrested in January, devices searched and come back NFA apart from one device which has gone to forensics.

My issue/fear is, I am still with my partner and we live together. Will this enhanced DBS check show anything? Will it prevent me getting this new job?

Short answer is no. The law was changed in 2018 to prevent "disqualification by association".

Unless the role involves caring for children at your home or the like, your DBS should not disclose information held on your partner.
