A bit sad today! My OH got fired. He decided to be honest with his job and inform them about the situation because it was what made him feel better and he considered it the best decision and I fully supported him. Today he got fired they said that unfortunately the matter was too serious and could damage the company image. He works in finance and most of the times he applied in the past companies asked for DBS check. I am sure that in the future it will be a memory but he will still feel he was honest and did the best thing he could

He is so sad and scared about the future. He thinks he will never find a new job and never in his field which he likes a lot and it is really passionate about ;(

I'm so sorry that's happened. We've been trying to decide how much to tell my persons work and this is exactly what we fear happening.

I wish society could leave the judgement and punishment to the court/ justice system but I can't honestly say I would have done that before I ended up in this position. At least I can say I feel like I've become more tolerant from this experience.

Sending you both a big hug.

Sorry to hear this too. My person was also dismissed. He's still under investigation but has now managed to find something else. He worked in IT previously and has had to go down a completely different route but he seems to be getting on ok. So have hope x

So sorry to hear that. It's quite a shock; I must admit before being on this side of it I always believed that it was "innocent until proven guilty" however with IIOC & similar online offences that doesn't seem to be the case.
How are people supposed to keep their heads above water when they're under investigation, constantly at risk of losing their job/career and everything else. I'm surprised any of the people on this forum manage to come out the other side without trauma/mental health issues
