Hi, following a search do the police monitor the household internet use?

it seemed to slow down prior to the search and now doesn't always connect. We both work from home and this is a nightmare if we have to deal witn this as well.

To the best of my knowledge it shouldn't impact internet speed or connectivity. I'd check with your provider to see if there are any issues in your area that may impact xxx

So they do, do it then, without notification?

I wouldn't have thought they could do it without informing you?

As I understand it, they cannot just access? Your IP address can be flagged if anything inappropriate is accessed.

Maybe, just overthinking it and being paranoid. Thanks

You're not alone, we've all been there. 4 years down the line and still paranoid. Be kind to yourselves. Not sure if you logged in but I replied via message x

My internet provider terminated our contract once the offence became public.

No sorry that's not what I meant. The police can't hack into the household internet as far as I know. They can put monitoring apps on devices post sentencing but they don't impact the household internet.
Anxious girl, that sounds awful to deal with especially since your ex no longer lived there xx

Hi, I asked this after the knock and the Police said they don't have the power to do that. X
