Afternoon lovlies x

I hope you are all keeping ok

I am so sorry to read so many new posts on the forum and just wanted to send huge hugs and let you know you are not alone x

My week has been good, a short week at work as had a few days off as had a few bits to get done and also had some nice time just to recharge, managed to read another book, I have also just finished watching the latest Emily in Paris series, not my usual type of programmes to watch but its soooooo good, such an easy watch to switch off and just enjoy

Spoke to HC Tuesday his clothes parcel was delivered last Friday (we had our family visit) but he is still waiting to receive it, hopefully when he phones later he will tell me he has it, (hope the clothes still smell of the amazing conditioner) he has now all his training material to start the second year of his degree that starts next month, he is keeping in good spirits (that's all I could wish for)

No furbaby this weekend and my social butterfly daughter and her BF have a quiet weekend planned x

The sun is out all be it a bit chilly

I hope you can all find something nice to do over the weekend

Love sent as always xx

Hello friday check in,

Crikey a week to check clothes and hand them to HC! Thats terrible. Glad you have had time to chill though this week.

My week has been ok upto Wednesday. Went to my line dancing on Monday with a friend who had what i though a small cold, which she kindly passed to me and I ended up with the flu. Full blown shakes, chills and fever high temperature. Though I continued working at least my Team leader allowed me to work from home. Feeling a little more human today but at the point when i try and do anything it tires me out completely. So cancelled all my plans to rest this weekend and get better. The only thing is when I am ill it makes me feel quite low and the situation I am in comes out to the forefront of my mind. But I am feeling more positive today.

So tomorrow I plan a short walk with my furbabies and hoping it is going to be sunny so I can sit outside with them and go for a cuppa. I also need to start sorting out my clothes as my new bedroom furniture has been delivered and put together so it is nearly finished..yay.

And finish my book. Though i hate starting a new one. What is everyone reading at the moment? What book did you read Upset mum?

Hello Friday Check in,

Nice to hear from you all. Hopefully HC's clothes parcel is delivered soon. Webb, I get sad when I'm sick too so I know what you mean.

It's been another week for me of work, and running the kids around for sports and activities. I'm grateful for the distraction.

My husband gave notice at work this week. His plea hearing is at the end of the month and he chose to quit rather than disclose. The pup is having a growth removed next week and we are hoping it's benign.he seems ok otherwise.

Take care,

Hi everyone,

this week has been my little ones first week of full time nursery. She has settled in really well but we're both ready for a weekend of slow mornings. No rushing to get dressed and have breakfast before running out the door. I'm getting my business fully operational and have spent lots of time this week researching how to do this. Couple of appointments made for the week ahead and some time set aside to go through the ever growing number of toys to declutter to make way for more with Christmas fast approaching (sorry everyone but it's coming).

It's been so cold here this week but the sun shone today and put a spring in my step. Love and strength to all of you here whether you are posters or observers xxx

Good morning ladies - read many posts this week where ladies have blamed themselves over a loved one's crime, hearts full of 'what if's' and hindsight's.

I pry they take on board others when they say it's not your fault. Think everyone desires a reason - an answer to why this has happened to them, as a parent (even of an adult) it's those guilt feelings take a lot of working through and coming to terms with. I resignate 100% and send out a Smile hug x

As for me - another week flown by - and overall a good one. Seen lots of my grandchildren which always makes me happy.

Last time we spoke my boy is good and cheerful. As Upset says that's all we can hope for.

Anyway ladies, lyrics from a Carole King song - a verse that grabbed me, not always easy I know - let's do it on this Saturday morning-

You've got to get up every morningWith a smile on your faceAnd show the world all the love in your heartThen people gonna treat you betterYou're gonna find, yes you willThat you're beautiful, as you feel

Morning All

Been a bit of a tough week but have made it to the weekend. My family have made me a bit of a prisoner in my own home! Telling me stories of what may happen if OH is recognised when out and about but determined to go out today and enjoy a bit of sunshine. A comment from here that I keep going back to is my relations will go back to their 'families' and I will go back to my OH who is my family.

Take care and hold your loved one close xxx

Morning all

Upset mum - hope HC gets his clothes soon and they smell wonderful.

Webb - hope you feel better soon (what are you reading? I'm currently making my way through the Septimus Heap series - it's young adults but good!)xx

Prairies- keeping everything crossed for your pupper...

Distressed - hope your little one has had the best week at nursery!

Smile - I totally get where you're coming from, but we can't help it can we? Especially when it's our sons...

Lonely - I hope you manage to get out into the sunshine! (It's gone a bit cloudy where I am, probably cos I've not long hung some washing out!)

(This replying malarkey would be so much easier if the forum was set up to allow us to @people or quote what we're replying to!)

Anyway, it's been a bit of a week for me...second week back at work and still hectic (business manager retired at the end of the summer term, so obviously new business manager is feeling her way round )

DS had his sentencing hearing (2 weeks to find somewhere to live or he gets a custodial sentence). On the plus side, he hasn't reoffended, thankfully, he just stupidly had an old phone that he hadn't told the police about...

And hooray, we've had a letter from him today! So we now have his prisoner number! I am so happy I could pop! Off to the pub tonight to update friends (we are so lucky to have supportive friends) but no getting too drunk as we've promised our 17 year old we'll take him and his girlfriend for a mental health day tomorrow...

Glad to hear some of you are managing to take time to do things you enjoy.

busy week for us too: first full week of school and back to work. It's been busy as I'm now seeing a therapist via gp referral for the anxiety and insomnia/stress as well as my capacity assessments by social services and the Inform course. It's a bit full on but I'm just trying g to do everything I can so I can face whatever is coming.

Ive been out for some exercise in the fresh air, my child has had their first invite for tea at a friends house and I've got some nice plans with family; cinema, meals out. I'm hoping it'll help us get used to doing more without my person and all the supervisors. It'll also give our supervising family a bit of a break.
