Good Afternoon everyone, I hope you have all had a good week.

My OH has his plea hearing next week, so my question is...

How early do we need to arrive at the court?

Xx

Hi Bubb x

My sons plea hearing was done via a link (Covid) when he was sentenced (he was on remand) so was there in the morning, I arrived half an hour before his court time,

Check with his solicitor as they may want to go through things before the plea xx

My son had to meet with his solicitor prior to the plea hearing and was asked to attend 30 minutes before the hearing. We actually arrived about an hour before to make sure we weren't late.

Thank you both for your answers. I did say to OH it's best for us to get there an hour early as we haven't even met with his solicitor yet as they have been waiting for police to send all the paperwork so we don't even know whats what. Solicitor said he could receive it a week before or the day of which is annoying.

Keep telling myself at least it's one step forward xx

We were told to arrive a half an hour before the court time to meet with the solicitor. The solicitor didn't turn up until 15 minutes before the time (we asked the attendant there when time was passing, as we were worried...but he just shrugged and said it's only 15 minutes late...that's normal). The solicitor later explained that they would only say they were ready for court once they had had sufficient time with their client. (We could see other people there with their solicitors too....all given the same time to appear). It seemed that once they were ready with their solicitor, they informed the court and then waited to be called in.
