Hi all !

Finally the court date has arrived after 10 months.

My person will go to magistrate as CPS and it was comunication , but is was a Decoy.

Anyone know what to expect and what it will happen now ?

Social service close the case right after the arrest as not risk for our children's. Outer children are similar ages of the child he comunicate with.

Now, does the police will SS ? Or only till the hearings/ outcome in court is happening?

Feeling very stressed and overwhelmed ???? ????

Anymore with the same experience??

After magistrates the court clark will talk to you, they will take all the details and arrange with probabtion for them to do a pre sentancing report. They do contact SS to say the person has been charged. We was in the same position, SS signed us all stight away after talking to us (I have a significate safeguarding background and I think they were taken aback at how I had but measures in place ASAP to keep everyone in the family, including my son safe) On the pre sentancing report it SS said "we believe mum is significatly aware and capable in keeping her other children safe within the home enviroment, no further contact needed" I was a little worried, thinking it may start all up again, but it didn't. Hope that helps

Thank you ladies

So you meant that he will come out with his sentence? Would the SS be there to get involved again ? My kids are 7 and 9 ....the offence child was 12. Does he will be allowed to be unsupervised?

Would they will contact me to know as I have the children?

I'm so nervous ????

I think it's unlikely your person will come out of the magistrates court with his sentence if he hasn't yet attended for his plea hearing.

If the court attendance at magistrates court is his plea hearing then the prosecution will read out the evidence and charges and your person will either plead guilty or not guilty.

If he pleads not guilty the case will go to trial. If he pleads guilty it's likely the case will then be referred to crown court for sentencing. He will then be given 3 days to go to the Police station to sign the SOR.

Between magistrates court and crown court, probation will undertake a pre sentence report which will be given to the judge with their recommendations.

SS won't be at court but will be notified of the outcome and will make contact with you in the days following to open the case back up if they think it's necessary.

As part of the sentencing it is likely your person will be given a Sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) which will state the restrictions he has been given. This may include no unsupervised contact with under 18's.

It's a very stressful time for you so look after yourself and keep reaching out on here for support.
