Do not disclose unless they have to or until they have to. If they don't ask don't tell. Check internal policies. Usually the police will ask what type of work your person does and if they need to tell them they probably will. Some companies have "reputation" clauses etc to be aware of. Often you don't need to tell them until charged or even sentencing. It depends whether at any point they need to do a DBS or would pass one. My person crazily has been able to pass several enhanced DBS checks up until their arrest and still would because he hasn't been charged yet. Your person will need to keep their job for as long as possible, if for nothing else court/solicitors fees/paying for therapy and courses as well as the fact if they're working there more stable and less likely to re-offend (they've got something to lose).
