Is it normally for police to ask for pictures of your kids to compare against the device searches? Just playing on my mind a bit.
Hi,
my persons offence was communication but they did speak to my daughter who was 17 at the time. I don't think every force operates in the same way so you may get varied responses to this post. Our brains can be our worst enemy at times. With only half the information and an already fragile trust in anyone it's hard to determine what's overthinking/hyper vigilance and what's our logical brain xxx

hiya, thank you for responding. It's hard to keep calm but I'm trying. I calm and then I'm back up. It's a rollercoaster.
there is no production charge so I'm guessing it's a preventative measure. I have asked out right and been told no. But it's impossible to have that trust right now.

Yes they did with me, but in reverse.
so in checking my persons devices they found photos of our children as babies and toddlers in the bath, in the garden, on holiday, so photos I would expect most parents/ grandparents have. They had not been shared or anything but they wanted to check the children in those photos were our children as that was part of my persons defence when interviewed about them. They haven't been mentioned since

Hi, as Wolfpack says, my situation was in reverse. The officer in charge mentioned some photos I'd taken of myself and my son begging when he was about 4 years old. He was named because it was one of those wonderfully innocent occasions where there was flour everywhere, including my little ones nose. I lost all my family photos, thousands of them because I never got the devices back and I hadn't backed them up. X
