Can somebody explain to me the difference between being out on bail and being released pending further enquiries
My ho was meant to appear this week at the police station to be formally charged but yet again they've put it back. This is the third time they've put it back but they have now stated that is no longer out on bail out pending further enquiries and they are still waiting for his devices to be returned

it's been 10 months now since that knock came every day at some point or rather I think about what he's done and how it will affect me and his mother perhaps I'm just being selfish thinking about me and his mother and how it would affect us rather than how it would affect him I just wish the next step could happen because the waiting is excruciating

Hi,

bail usually has conditions attached that need to be followed and it also has timeframes for the police to work to. Released under investigation doesn't have conditions but ss may impose a safety plan for supervised contact with any children in the family or overnight stays. Unfortunately released under investigation also removes any timescales for the police too so could put his devices further down the list for checking xxx
