My son is in prison for 2nd time. He is highly autistic and has disabilities. We are in our 70's and he can't live with us when he comes out next year. The last probation officer was hopeless. No help whatever. My son came home last time but now I can't stand the stress and worry at my age. How does he find accommodation when he has a record and is on a register? I am worried sick about him. I can't help it, I love him but hate what he has done. Has anyone else been in this situation? Any advice please. There is no help at all in prison and I worry that he will be homeless and end up on the streets.

Hi my son is also ASD and has just been sentenced. I don't have the answer I'm afraid but wanted to let you know you're not alone. I think the prison/probation sort accommodation before release but I'm not 100% sure.

This is something I need to find out too...

Our son is ADHD and I suspect ASD...

Probation are apparently discussing the possibility of moving to one of our neighbouring counties with him, but he'll still be homeless and then nowhere near us for us to help, plus he doesn't drive...
