A lot of people might not wanna share about stuff and some do. So the question i have if ok is.
How did your other halve get caught. Mine stupidly enough got caught when joining a WhatsApp group and forwarded a image and the next thing our world got blown to pieces.

Mine was arrested for 1 image on a public profile, on an app he briefly had & removed off his phone.
He's not had the app for 6-12 months. No idea what the image is they described, nor how it got there.

Unfortunately it came out via facebook before the police visit. It seemed everyone found out before me which was painful.
Group chat on kik and images were put into it he didn't ask for them save them or share them now our normal life is over x
My ex started by downloading IIOC. He then set up instagram accounts. Prior to this he'd had no social media at all and I didn't know he was on instagram. From there he gained 200 followers where he shared the images with others etc. Everytime instagram shut his account down, he simply opened another. This went on for 2 years from the family ip address. It took the police 2 years to get round to him. X
The dreaded Kik as well for us. We're assuming they shared his IP with the police due to the nature of the conversation, he was messaging another adult, a decoy hasn't been mentioned. Pics weren't shared, but phone forensics then found 3 cat B images somewhere and some search terms (which if my OH is telling the truth sounded pretty generic to me). X
I found some photos in the recycle bin on our PC one night and confronted him the next day. We both became extremely distraught, as he told me first about porn then about children. I didn't know what to do, so I phoned our GP surgery for help. The GP who phoned back reported him to the police and he was arrested that night.
My partner got caught by the police looking into him for him acting "suspiciously" when he came to pick up his son from his parents. They were there as they'd come to search his parents house as they'd just arrested their other son for the same offence

Another selfish idiot using the Kik app over here. How that things still legally up and running is beyond me!
