I received an email from the officer in charge to say he had heard about my husbands sentence and he wanted to let me know that he has not passed any info onto media . He thanked my husband for his cooperation and honesty and hoped we can put this all behind us and look forward to the future . He has been really nice to us throughout and kept me informed of everything he could . I was just wondering if anyone else has had this from there oic xx
That's lovely. Your OIC is one of the rare ones
How did you contact the OIC? ... We've not been given any phone numbers in our paperwork! Do we ring 101?
That's amazing, and must feel a relief to hear. We had almost the exact opposite experience with my OH's OIC so I am really chuffed that yours has been positive and there is hope for other families out there

Crikey that's a rarity! I want that OIC !! Ours is arrogant, demeaning, belittling - made her mind up from the start that my OH is a menace to society. Communication is sparce, rude and judgemental. I know they have a job to do but they are dealing with sex offenders as subhuman and incapable of rehabilitation which (for the majority) is completely incorrect! The police simply assumes these offenders are rotten to the core.
I agree with Eye of Storm) - the OIC that dealt with my sons case was well out of order, shocking when I heard the comments she made about my son. Adding her 'personal' views to the mix.
I remain furious how she injected poison into our family by her unprofessional comments.
